Class time Expectations for Remote Students
During live remote class sessions, students are expected to do the following:
- Check email or Google Classroom prior to the start of class for any announcements
- Alert their teacher immediately at the beginning of class if they are unable to access the class for any reason via Google Hangouts
- Be at their work space the entire class period
- Let their teacher know if they have to walk away for a moment via chat
- Complete all class time work and activities
- Respond to all questions in the chat
- Unmute and respond when addressed by the teacher
- Be active in class discussion and participation
- Greet all adult class visitors (administration, teachers, support)
- Behave respectfully towards all others in the class

- Complete all class work as directed via their Homeroom teacher or as directed on Google Classroom
- Be active in live class discussion and participation
- Complete all assigned Asynchronous assignments on Asynchronous days
- Follow all classroom rules and expectations of their Hybrid Homeroom teacher
- Check email or Google Classroom through out the day for any announcements
- Complete all class work as directed via their Homeroom teacher or as directed on Google Classroom
- Be active in live class discussion and participation
- Complete all assigned Asynchronous assignments on Asynchronous days
- Follow all classroom rules and expectations of their Hybrid Homeroom teacher
Assignment Deadlines and Submission Guidelines
As of Wednesday March 10, 2021, I have adapted a new policy for work submission and late work acceptance.
- All work must be submitted to Google Classroom by the due date.
- Assignments that are completed, but not "submitted" will be considered incomplete and will not be graded
- Assignments that are less than 50% complete will be considered incomplete and will not be graded
- Late work will receive the following penalty:

- Late work will receive the following penalty:
- Day 1-4 - 10% reduction in grade daily (Due to remote / hybrid learning model, the weekend will count as one class day)
- Day 5 - No opportunity to complete 50% Credit applied
- 1st offense - Warning to student. Assignment will be returned with window to complete (does not apply to assessments)
- 2nd offense - parent contact 1st time. Assignment will be returned with window to complete & 20% reduction of grade (does not apply to assessments)
- 3rd offense - parent contact 2nd time. No opportunity to complete after this point.
